The Raspberry Pi Stepper Motor Hat is designed for hassle-free actuation of stepper motors using python code. It uses SPI as the communication protocol enabling up to two stepper motors on each SPI bus.
To connect the device, simply align the female inputs on the hat with the male outputs from the Raspberry Pi board or other hats which have been previously stacked on top of the board. Connect the board to a voltage source and clip in the stepper motor into the connector.
You can find detailed technical documentation and some sample code here.
This hat uses TMC5130 motor driver boards. If you do not have your own TMC5130 break-out board, please make sure to select the correct number of motor drivers in the pull-down list provided.
Please note that you can only use one Raspberry Pi Stepper Motor Hat in your set-up, which can control up to two stepper motors.
